How does virtual design actually work?
We start with a live video call — not an email, not a questionnaire into a void. On that first call we do a full video walkthrough of your home together. You show me every room, every challenge, every corner that isn't working. I ask questions. I take notes. I get the full picture the way an in-person designer would. From there I build your design package and we stay in close contact throughout — check-ins, revisions, ongoing communication. You have direct access to me as your designer for the entire project. You are never handed a document and left alone to figure it out. I work alongside you, from the first call to the finished room.
Can virtual design really work for my space?
Yes. I've completed hundreds of rooms virtually. The key is thorough documentation at the intake stage — good photos, accurate dimensions, and a clear brief. I've developed an intake process that captures everything I need to make the right decisions without standing in the room. For spaces with genuinely unusual conditions — challenging natural light, irregular architecture — the in-person services may be a better fit.
What if I start with the Direction Session and then want the full Room Design?
The full $297 you paid for the Direction Session is credited toward the Virtual Room Design Experience or the Whole Home Design System. You never pay twice for the same work.
How long does each service take?
The Direction Session written plan arrives within 48 hours of your call. The Virtual Room Design Experience is delivered within 10 business days. The Whole Home Design System is typically delivered within 14 to 21 business days depending on the number of rooms in scope.
What happens after I receive my design?
For the Room Design, you have a 30-day email follow-up window for questions. For the Whole Home System, you have three 90-day check-in sessions and a 30-day sourcing hotline. I stay involved through the execution phase — revising, advising, and following up until the result matches the vision.
